Baby Boy

Standard

Just a quick post, I made this card a few weeks ago for my cousin who gave birth to a gorgeous little boy called Shea.  Sadly it’s not my design but one I saw on pinterest and just happened to have the same digi kit.

Thanks for visiting

The Hobby House

Standard

Well I finally took the plunge and treated myself to some of the gorgeous Hobby House products, I was trying to holdout since I have so much stuff in my stash but the temptation got the better of me….lol!  I decided I would see if I could make the cards from the kit without using any other products, apart from the usual, glue, glitter and a couple of gem stones and I’m glad to say I succeeded in the challenge 🙂

I’ve only managed to upload two of the six cards since WordPress seems to be playing games with me here but I will try and get the rest of them posted.  The products really are as beautiful as they say and I have more than enough bits left in the kit to make at least another two cards.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend, whatever you may be doing 🙂

Engagement Card

Standard

Just thought I’d share this with you, a simple engagement card but I just love that image!  Got to dash, my son is coming home from uni for a weekend visit (I’m a bit excited.)

I’m afraid the photograph’s are not very good, that’s something I haven’t yet mastered?

Baby Boy Nappy Cake

Standard

Haven’t got a card to share with you today but I thought you might like to see what I’ve been up to instead.  I’ve been making another one of my nappy cakes for a member of staff in work who was leaving us for obvious reasons…..lol.

25th Wedding Anniversary

Standard

Oh dear I seem to be getting worse instead of better at this blogging thing, I just don’t seem to ever have time or I forget I have cards to post.  This card is actually from August 2016 (shame) and I’ve just come across it still on the camera waiting to be uploaded….oops!

60th Birthday Cards

Standard

Just thought I’d share a couple of quick cards I made today for a friends sister who is celebrating her 60th birthday tomorrow.  It can be quite difficult making more than one card for the same person and trying to make them look completely different to each other but here goes!

Scruffy Little Cat

p1040893

I’ve used the Scruffy Little Cat cd rom by Crafter’s Companion for this one, I really love these girls, I’ve just added some glitter, gems and a bit of glossy accents.

La Femme

p1040900

So this one is made using the La Femme digi kit from DaisyTrail and again I’ve just added glitter, gems and gloss.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a good weekend.

University of Leeds (here we come)

Standard

Well today has been a very emotional day for our family, I’ve been dreading this day for so long but at the same time I feel extremely proud. Our  eldest son spread his wings and went off to uni, it’s been a difficult day and I feel very, very emotional, I feel like a part of me is missing and so far I haven’t coped very well.  My youngest son who is just thirteen is heart broken, our  boys are very close and Benjamin has never been away from home before,  I think it’s going to take awhile to adjust but I’m sure we’ll get there 😦

University of Leeds

This is taken at his halls in the kitchen diner, it’s a lovely new build and very nice too!  I’m sure he’ll have an amazing time and make some fabulous memories, I just miss him so much 😦

Sorry no cards, hope to post some soon.

Birthday Time!

Standard

August is a bit of a busy month for me with birthdays, my sister, my niece and myself all have our birthdays one after the other, 23rd, 24th and 25th of August, you couldn’t plan that if you tried…..lol   This is the card I made for my niece who was turning ten and going into her last year at primary school (the years have flown!)

My Besties

Yankee bouquet

My Besties

I have used a My Besties cd rom but I pulled the image and the frame into craft artist so I could insert the image into the frame for printing and I then decoupaged the bow in her hair and her fringe, added lots of glitter (of course) and some glossy accents to her eyes.

Thanks for continuing to visit my blog, I truly appreciate it and I shall pop back soon to show you a birthday gift I made for my sister.

Fabulous Fifties.

Standard

Oops, it’s been awhile again! :O  I’d actually forgotten that I hadn’t posted this card which I made for a friends birthday a couple of months ago.  I’ve used my Fab Glam Fifties cd rom for the topper and the paper is by K&Co, which I have had for many years. :O
