Forever Friends…..

For those of you who read my last post, you will know I’m on a mission to see how many of these cards I can make using a free gift from my craft mag. and then I will be donating them to my local hospice.  Lol, I’ve only managed 4 so far (hangs head in shame.)

So today I thought I would bake a banana & walnut tea bread, to use up the bananas that had gone slightly brownish!  All went well, mixed, baked and came out of the tin first time, perfect!  I left it for about 10 minutes and then cut the first slice, still a bit warm so thought I’d leave it until after tea.  Ok after tea came and went but I still thought the cake looked a bit heavy and wet (if that’s possible?)  Forth piece in and I suddenly realised I’d used plain flour instead of self raising, Arrrrrrgh!!!!!!!!  It’s still edible, just a bit heavy!?  😦  (clown!)

Have a good weekend.

Free Gifts and A Challenge!

Hello, hope you’re all enjoying this great British weather,  I just wish it was bright but a little bit cooler, too hot for my liking, I keep having ‘melt downs’ literally…lol

This week I bought the ‘Papercraft Essentials’ mag and it came with quite a nice free gift of a Forever Friends paper stack & stamp set.  I didn’t particularly need these but as you do I bought it anyway and have set myself a challenge to see how many cards I can make from it.  I’m not going to keep the cards myself but I thought I could give them to my mum, she does voluntary work at a hospice which is situated in the grounds of one of the local hospitals and they will sell the cards there.

Ok, so only 3 made up to now…lol but I will carry on with them and I will be back to show you more 😉

Enjoy your weekend and make the most of the good weather 🙂

Birthday Card for a Friend

Did I say I would try to blog more often!?  This is a card I made for my friends birthday, it’s quite a simple one but I do so love it.  I was inspired by a card Katina made over on her blog together with the fact I didn’t have a lot of time to spend on it.

The image is from Digistamp Boutique and I have paper pieced it with a sheet from my stash and added some pearls.

Well I’m debating whether I should unload the dishwasher or go to blogland?  I think I should maybe unload the dishwasher (rather quickly) and chillax with my laptop (sounds good to me!)

Have yourselves a lovely weekend since we have a nice bit of weather (makes a change.)
