The Hobby House

Standard

Well I finally took the plunge and treated myself to some of the gorgeous Hobby House products, I was trying to holdout since I have so much stuff in my stash but the temptation got the better of me….lol!  I decided I would see if I could make the cards from the kit without using any other products, apart from the usual, glue, glitter and a couple of gem stones and I’m glad to say I succeeded in the challenge 🙂

I’ve only managed to upload two of the six cards since WordPress seems to be playing games with me here but I will try and get the rest of them posted.  The products really are as beautiful as they say and I have more than enough bits left in the kit to make at least another two cards.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend, whatever you may be doing 🙂

60th Birthday Cards

Standard

Just thought I’d share a couple of quick cards I made today for a friends sister who is celebrating her 60th birthday tomorrow.  It can be quite difficult making more than one card for the same person and trying to make them look completely different to each other but here goes!

Scruffy Little Cat

p1040893

I’ve used the Scruffy Little Cat cd rom by Crafter’s Companion for this one, I really love these girls, I’ve just added some glitter, gems and a bit of glossy accents.

La Femme

p1040900

So this one is made using the La Femme digi kit from DaisyTrail and again I’ve just added glitter, gems and gloss.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a good weekend.

Birthday Time!

Standard

August is a bit of a busy month for me with birthdays, my sister, my niece and myself all have our birthdays one after the other, 23rd, 24th and 25th of August, you couldn’t plan that if you tried…..lol   This is the card I made for my niece who was turning ten and going into her last year at primary school (the years have flown!)

My Besties

Yankee bouquet

My Besties

I have used a My Besties cd rom but I pulled the image and the frame into craft artist so I could insert the image into the frame for printing and I then decoupaged the bow in her hair and her fringe, added lots of glitter (of course) and some glossy accents to her eyes.

Thanks for continuing to visit my blog, I truly appreciate it and I shall pop back soon to show you a birthday gift I made for my sister.

Fabulous Fifties.

Standard

Oops, it’s been awhile again! :O  I’d actually forgotten that I hadn’t posted this card which I made for a friends birthday a couple of months ago.  I’ve used my Fab Glam Fifties cd rom for the topper and the paper is by K&Co, which I have had for many years. :O

70th Birthday

Standard

Omg this month also appears to be flying by, I can’t keep up, Christmas in six months……arrrrrrrh!!!  But before I start on my Christmas cards I do have a few more cards to show that I’ve made over the last couple of weeks.

This is the card I made for my dad’s 70th birthday last week, I used a download from the Clipart Fairy but it would appear her website is down at the moment, but Paper Creator do one very much the same here.

Clipart Fairy

I have used my Cricut machine and ‘Plantin Schoolbook cartridge to cut the letters and numbers.  Ok off to make another card before the boys arrive home from school and college.

Fabulous Fella’s

Standard

This is the card I made a few weeks ago for a friends husband who was celebrating his 70th birthday.  I’ve used the cd rom Fabulous Fella’s  by Katy Sue, it has something to suit most men and this card was just perfect as my friends husband is an artist.

This is one of the print and go cards and the tent card template is also on the disc.  It’s a great cd rom for the guys and I really should use it more often, along with a million and one other items in my craft stash….lol 😉
