Docrafts Card Kit

Now I wouldn’t normally buy a ready to assemble card kit but this was a bargain in Hobby Craft and looked quite nice too!

I’m really delighted with how it turned out, the card is printed on both sides (back & front) and comes with a lovely printed insert and one of those special ‘decoupage’ envelopes.

I think you can just see the glitter I have added to the dress and I added a few pearls to the card too.  That’s all for today, off to run the bath for son no.2!

Something Old!

I tend to reach for a cd rom lately when I need to make a card, usually because I’m pushed for time and they are quick and easy.  So for my mums birthday I thought I would use some good old stamping and some gorgeous papers!  I’ve had this PTI stamp set for so long and I really do love it but just don’t ink it up often enough 😦

You have no idea how many goes it took me to stamp the teapot with an even coverage and line the die up so it cut out perfectly…. I was glad when it was finished…lol

Well it’s been a short week for me in work this week, since I only work 3 days (Mon, Tues & Wed) my weekend begins tonight (yay!)  Thank you if you take the time to visit me here, I do appreciate it and love reading any comments you leave.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone, hope you all have a wonderful day with lots and lots of yummy choc-o-late! 🙂  I do have a card or two to share with you today but once again I can’t take any credit for them as I have CASed them from this lovely lady and friend from blogland, Debs from Especially for you.

In case you haven’t guessed I have used my ever faithful Forever Friends cd rom (I just love it!)  Well that’s all from me tonight, time for bed me thinks.

Spring Card and a Challenge.

Hello lovely bloggers, I thought we had reached spring given the nice sunshine we have had recently but this morning I wasn’t so sure, it was grey and cold, not a bit of sun in sight (here in Liverpool anyway!) 😦

So my card today has a Spring feel (I hope)  which is the theme over at the Clearly Besotted blog for this months challenge.

My inspiration came from a card I saw on Pinterest, so I can’t take the credit for it really but I’m not quite sure about the yellow ribbon!?  Perhaps a green one would have been better.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter break and don’t eat too much chocolate (if that’s even possible!)

Sweet 16!

Hello lovely bloggers, it’s been awhile I know but life has just taken over yet again, is it really this close to Easter and did we not just have Christmas a few weeks ago!?…lol   Time has gone so fast that baby boy I held in my arms (seems like only yesterday) has just turned 16!  I just cannot believe it, I can remember every single thing about that day like it was yesterday and I’m proud to say he has grown into a beautiful young person who knows exactly where he’s going and what he wants in life.

This is the card I made for the birthday boy, it’s actually quite hard to get it right for a sixteen year old and Lord knows it’s got to be right! :O

And on that note I decided to play safe.  The paper is DCWV (Rockstar), a bit of card candy (Craftwork Cards) and the number and son sentiment I cut out on my Cricut machine, the card is 8×8.

Well that’s all from me today but I will be back soon with a ‘challenge’ card (yay!)  Enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Ooops, Liverpool just scored the first goal (wink!)
